ROTATIONAL WORKERS
DELEGATE MAY WAIT ON PRIME MINISTER The 23 rotational workers from the Governor’s Bay job, who have been idle for more than a week because they are not prepared to accept the conditions of contract work, sent a delegate to interview the Minister for Public Works (the Hon. R. Semple) in Christchurch last evening, but the Minister was not able to see the delegate. Mr R. W. Johansen, the delegate! will probably go to Wellington to place the men’s case before the Prime Minister (the Rt. Hon. M. J. Sflvsfic) • Delegates from all rotational jobs in Canterbury will . meet to-morrow. Claiming that the Labour Bureau is not giving the men any assistance and that they cannot get a hearing from the Minister for their case, representatives* of the men told “The Press last night that they considered they were being victimised.
