BAN ON IMPORTATIONS PROBABLE
(PBias AsaociATio* telbgram.* WELLINGTON, September 13. Many American pulp magazines to which a number of organisations have raised objections over a long period will disappear from the bookstalls of the Dominion in the near future. Representatives of the major importing firms conferred with the Minister for Customs (the Hon. W. Nash! and agreed with him, and among themselves, to put certain magazines on the proscribed list, which it is understood is not completed yet. It is believed the Minister promised to take action against the small and independent firm importing direct where their sale continued.
