FUNERAL OF PRINCE ARTHUR
FORTNIGHT’S COURT MOURNING ORDERED
LONDON, September 12,
The King and Queen will return to London from Balmoral for Prince Arthur of Connaught’s funeral. A fortnight’s Court mourning has been ordered. The funeral will take place at St. George’s Chapel, Windsor, on Friday morning. It will be a military funeral.
NEW ZEALAND’S SYMPATHY
(PRESS ASSOCIATION TELEGRAM.) WELLINGTON, September 13. The Governor-General (Lord Galway) has forwarded the following message of sympathy to His Royal Highness the Duke of Connaught in the death of Prince Arthur of Connaught:
The Government and people of New Zealand, with whom Lady Galway and I associate ourselves, wish to convey to Your Royal Highness an expression of the most profound sorrow and heartfelt sympathy on the passing of your son Prince Arthur of Connaught. —Galway.
