MORAGHAN BEATEN BY HANHAM
TECHNICAL KNOCKrOUT AT WESTPORT [THE PRESS Special Service;] WESTPORT, September 10. Cliff Hanham (Walmate), list 21b, beat Bob Moraghan (Auckland), lOst 101b, on a technical knock-out in the seventh round In a professional boxing contest at Westport tp-night. Hanham had a greater advantage in weight, height, and reach than was indicated when the weights were announced, and after taking the measure of his man in the first three rounds, .warmed to his work well, proving himself a clever twohanded boxer, Moraghan went down for the count of five in the sixth round, and after Moraghan had been knocked down three times in the seventh, the referee (Mr L. O’Neill) stopped the fight with Moraghan lying on the ground. Greymouth schoolboys met a Westport team in 14 preliminary bouts, the visitors winning four bouts, Westport eight and two were drawn.
