LABOUR AND RATES
SO THE BBITOX OF CU PUBS. Sir,—This morning I receive? my rate notice. The Increases are staggering to those of us who find the cost of living already a strain. Onward and upward seems to be the cry! “The sky’s the limit,” says Mr Savage. The extravagance of Labour Party administrators, both national and local, is tile limit, say I! We gave the Labour Party a chance to show what they could do, but it is now showing us how to pay.—Yours, Gtc NOT AGAIN. September 9, 1938.
