PARTICIPATION IN CHURCH CONGRESS CONSIDERED
(YUM Anocunox hugiu . ’ HASTINGS. September 10. Representatives of the North Island Maori tribes were accorded the traditional ceremonial welcome at Pakipaki, near Hastings, yesterday. The principal tribes of the island will be represented at meetings to-day and tomorrow to discuss the participation of Roman Catholic Maoris in the National . Eucharistic Congress in Wellington in 1940. Sir Apirana Ngata will be present at to-day’s meeting.
