NOTABLE STATESMAN
TRIBUTES TO PRESIDENT MASARYK (BRITISH OFFICIAL WIRELESS.) (Received March 10, 7 p.m.) RUGBY. March 8. A warm tribute to President Masaryk, who yesterday celebrated his eighty-sixth birthday, was broadcast by Sir Samuel Hoare, who was a close associate of his before and during the war. The British press also contained many references to this "grand old man of Europe," and to his services in Czechoslovakia.
