YOUNG FARMERS' CLUBS
To further the activities of the New Zealand Federation of Young Farmers' Clubs, a movement of recent growth in the Dominion, a booklet is being circulated setting out its aims and its work. The Young Farmers' Club movement' is already firmly established in Great Britain, Canada, Denmark, and America, and although the form of the organisation differs somewhat in each country, the aim is virtually the same—to make better farmers and better citizens and to promote a deeper interest in the wellbeing of farming. Authorities in these countries .pay a tribute to what the movement has done and is doing. In New Zealand the movement is in its infancy, but it has now been established on sound lines and should grow steadily. In all, 41 clubs have been formed to date in the South Island, and the prospects are very bright for others in districts where preparatory work has already been done. During the last year a few clubs were established in the North Island, and during the next 12 months considerable progress is expected in this territory.
