LONDON'S SHIPPING —— During the week ended January 18, 942 vessels, representing 915,337 net register tons, used the Port of London. Of these, 438 vessels (695,690 net register tons) were to and from Empire and foreign ports, and 504 vessels (219,647 net register tons) were engaged in coastwise traffic. The arrivals included 13 meat cargoes—seven from Australia, two from New Zealand, one from South America, and three from North America, comprising 267,000 carcases of lamb and mutton, 62,000 quarters of beef, quantities of pork, rabbits, and sundries. NOTICE TO MARINERS The obstruction reported in the position 016deg. 2.2 miles from East Cape lighthouse has been unsuccessfully searched for and the note "obstruction reported (1934)" is to be expunged.
