ABYSSINIA AND ITALY
£ TENSION RELIEVED AGREEMENT ON NEUTRAL ZONE 7~ (united press association—by elicteic TELEGRAPH —COPYRIGHT.) (Received March 6, 8.50 p.m.) LONDON, March 6. The Rome corr of the "Daily Telegraph" says that after three months' tension, relations between Italy and Abyssinia have taken a turn for the better. An agreement in principle has been reached at Addis Ababa, by which a neutral zone three and a half miles wide will be marked between Italian Somali land and South-east Abyssinia. Italy has also agreed that nomad tribes may cross the zone with their herds to use the wells. The settlement should prevent the troops of either side meeting and fighting, but it is unlikely that the sending of the Italian troops already mobilised will be suspended, as the demarcation of the frontiers has not yet been carried out, and the question of compensation for attacks at Ualual and Arfdul is settled.
