o LAEOUR'S OFFER TO COUNTRY PARTY MELBOURNE, March 6. An offer to assist the Country party to displace the Argyle Administration has been made by the Labour leader (Mr T. Tunnecliffe) but the leader of the Country party (Brigadier M. W. J. Bourchier) is awaiting developments. It is unlikely that the Premier (.Sir Stanley Argyle) will make a decision about the new Cabinet before next week. When counting ceased on Sunday the figures indicated the following pi Dbable state of the parties in the new Parliament, allowing two certain losses from U.A.P. to Country (previous representation in parenthesis): U.A.P. .. .. 26 (29) Country Party .. ..19 (17) Labour .. ..17 (16) Independents .. 3 (3)
