BRYNDWR METHODIST CHURCH ; The Ladies' Guild of St. John's Methodist Church, Bryndwr, held its annual picnic at Pleasant Point on Saturday. The weather was perfect. CHAD'S SUNDAY SCHOOL Approximately 350 children and their parents attended tho annual picnic of St. Chad's Sunday School North Linwood, which was held in the Riccarton Racecourse on Saturday in fine weather. A capable committee, consisting of Mesdames Richards, Davenport, Jenkins. Baker, Stanhope, Ives, Lee, and Coutts, was in charge of the food arrangements, and the officials for the sports programme which was held during tho day wero as follows:—Announcer, the Rev. W. i S. UEDCLIFFS SCHOOL The annual picnic of tho Redcliffs School was held on Saturday at Diamond Harbour. There was a larger attendance than at any previous picnic, nearly 250 atteiuFng. The picnickers were transported to tho Ileathcote station by bus, and after catching tho train for Lyttelton were taken across the harbour in the John Anderson. A splendid day's outing had been arranged for the children. Ico cream, soft drinks, and apples were distributed, and a programme of races was held, for which the prizes were presented by Mrs D. F.
