I SECONDARY SCHOOLS' j | RELAYS i I TWO CLOSE RACES | | ! i i | The annual relay races, senior and junior, between the secondary schools ot Cliristchurcli, were held at the Christchurch Boys' High School baths yesterday afternoon. The schools represented, in both events were Christ's College, St. Andrew's College, Christchurch Technical' Collet,"', West Clirislchnrch District High School, St. Bede's College, and Cliristchurcli Boys' High School. Until a few years ago there was no inter-schools relav other than that between Cliristchurcli Boys' High School and Christ s College, and this was confined to the seniors; hut since the inception of junior and senior relavs- in which all the secondary schools may' compete, interest in schools swimming ha. increased considerably. There was. a large attendance of ' pupils and parents, and there were good ] entries for the events. '. The senior championship cup was won | In' I.ilv Boauas, and the junior cup by Betty Morgan.
