*—- —- 1 NCR EASED MEMBEKSIU P REPORTED The committee of the Canterbury Pilgrims' and Early Settlers' Association met yesterday afternoon. There were present:—Messrs E. R. Webb (in the chair), the Rev. F. G. Brittan, H. L. Bowker, E. M. Lovell-Smith, J. O. Jameson, and G. W. Hungerford (secretary). Sympathetic reference was made to the deaths of Messrs C. Hastings Bridge, W. J. Hussey, and A. N. Holmes. It was decided to send a resolution of condolence to the relatives of these three late members of the association. Nineteen new members were elected, and six resignations were received, making a total of 85 new members for 1935. It was decided that the thanks of Ihe association be expressed to Mrs C. A. E. Ferguson for the gift of a photograph of Oxford terrace in the early days. The chairman stated that the three members who had been elected by the association with power to add to form a committee, had not yet met. On the motion of Mr H. L. Bowker, it was decided to appoint Messrs A. U. Pratt end Herbert Robinson additional members of the committee. The next social gathering of the association will be held towards the end of June, in the Durham , street Art Gallery.
