BUILDING IN THE CITY
INCREASE IN NUMBER OF PERMITS Continued increased activity in building in the city is indicated in themonthly return of building permits. Although the value of permits issued in Christchurch during the last month was slightly less than for the same period in 1934, the number was greater. For the period since March 31 there has been a substantial increase not only in the number of permits issued, but in their value. The figures follow: February 1934-35. 1933-34. Ward. Value.
