SWIMMING
INTER-CLUB CARNIVAL KEEN RACING AT HORNBY There was a large attendance at tlm annual carnival of the Hornby Swimming Club, held in the school bath at Hornby on Saturday afternoon. The weather whs ideal. Entries for swimming, diving, and novelty events were good, and there were few scratc 1ings. All the races were keenly and enthusiastically contested. . Yisiting swimmers from the city did well in most of the open events, but Hie Hornby swimmers-, particularly the women, made a creditable showing. An exhibition of fancy and novelty diving was given during the afternoon by F,. Crossley and U. Nunes, ot the Phillipstown Club.
