SOCIAL AND PERSONAL Mrs James Hay (Christchurch), who was the guest of Mrs F. Bowe (Hart street), is now staying with Mrs Douglas Le Cren (Orari;. Mrs Hay leaves early this month for England. Mr and Mrs A. S. Ehvorthy and Lieutenant John Elworthy 'Holme Station) left yesterday to stay with Mrs W. N. Bond 'Dunrobin, Southland). Colonel and Mrs W. Shakespeare, who were visiting relatives in South Canterburv, have returned to Auckland. Miss Edith Arthur iTrafalgar street) is staying with Mrs E. M. Paterson (Christchurch). The Misses Hassell (Nile street) have returned from a visit to the Hermitage and the West Coast. Miss Cora Wilding (Christchurch) is spending a holiday at Te Kiteroa (Waimaie). Miss H. K. Lovell-Smith ("The Hostel," Arthur street), who attended the convention of the Young Women's Christian Association in Wellington, has returned to Timaru. Guests at "The Bungalow" (Wai-iti road) include Mrs Stopford (Orari), Mrs Trevor Foster. Mrs Tenipleman < Christchurch), and Miss Monica Tenv pleman.
