Apart from the importance that attaches to the display of the new season's apparel is the added attraction of the presence at the Parade of Miss Jocelyn Howarth, the charming young actress who is at present appearing at the Theatre Royal in the play, "Ten Minute Alibi." Miss Howarth, who will be accompanied by two other lady members of the J. C. Williamson Company. Miss Gwen Munroe and Miss Janet Johnson, will act, as judge of a novel millinery competition, details of which have been advertised, while a feature of the Parade will be a comprehensive display of millinery and the new season's coats. Many other attractive garments will be shown. The young, enterprising firm of Hay's, Ltd., has rapidly moved into a leading position as retailers of smart fashion goods, and the parades arranged will give the public a glimpse of what will be worn during the coming autumn and winter seasons. The paxf.de will conclude each day with a complete bridal scene representing frocks made by Hay's, Ltd., for a recent wedding. A novelty by way of a musical item will be the playing of Master Roy a brilliant young cornetist, who won the championship at the recent Timaru Band Contest. The mannequins will be from the Jessie Dickson School of Dancing, and the musicwill be supplied by Miss Doreen Daly and Miss Norma Middleton. As the accommodation is already well booked those desirous of attending the parades are advised to reserve their seats to-day. —6
