ACCIDENTS

. o DEATH OF A ROADMAN (PRESS ASSOCIATION TELEQRAM.I GISBORNE, March 1. Search parties in the Hangaroa district, 20 miles from Gisborne, found the body of George William Robinson, 60 years of age, a roadman, who had been missing for some days, in two feet of water. Medical evidence at the inquest this morning showed that Robinson's death was due to heart failure. There was no suspicion of foul play. The inquest was adjourned.

SECOND DEATH OCCURS HASTINGS, March 1. The second death following on the explosion at the Waiokonini station on February 18 occurred this morning in the Memorial Hospital, when Alexander Herbert Anderson, aged 30 years, died from his injuries. There are still four others in hospital, one of whom is in a serious condition. FRACTURED JAW C. C. Stevens, of Newbury street, Opawa, suffered a fractured jaw last evening, and was admitted to the Christchurch Public Hospital. When the accident happened, soon after 10 o'clock, Stevens was riding his bicycle in McMillan avenue. He was not able to remember how he sustained the injury when he was picked up by St. John Ambulance men. His condition was stated to be satisfactory last evening.
