INDIAN BUDGET
+ SL'lt PLUS ANTICIPATED LONDON, February 28. The Delhi correspondent of '"The Times" says Sir James Grigg, Finance Member, introduced a budget anticipating a surplus of £1,125,000 in the coming year, of which £1,020,000 would be off-set by income tax reductions.
The export duty on raw skins would be abolished, leaving a nominal surplus of £45.000. Last year's surplus enabled the allocation of £1,579,000 to the Bihar earthquake relief. It is anticipated that the 1934-35 surplus will be £2,889,000 because of improved Customs revenue, after allowing for salary cut restorations costing £BIO,OOO.
