GIFT PARTIES
To honour Miss Trixie Joblin and Mr H. Philbrick. whose marriage will take place shortly, Mrs A. Barclay (Cashel street) entertained a number of friends at a "kitchen'; gift party. The time was spent in games ana dancing. Songs were sung by Misses Joyce Wayne. Mary Hurley, and Grace Clark, and a tap dance was given i by Miss C Walton and Mr R. Barclay. Dance music was supplied by Messrs R. Marquet, C. Brown, and A. Barney Amongst those present were Mr and Mrs Stevenson, Mr and Mrs Champion, Mesdames Ussher (Litile River), Hurley Barclay, Misses Trixie Joblin, Joyce Wayne, Phyllis Rae, Joyce Pearce, Molly Ferguson, Natalie and Joan Pooley. Nellie and Joy Taylor, Nancy Joblin, Iris Reed, Mary Hurley, Grace Clark, Ada and Joyce Barclay, Gwen Reed (Little River), C. Walton, Norah Logan, Bell, Ina Stevenson. Messrs H. Philbrick, J.. O Hara, B. Stuart, R. Marquet, A. Barnes. J. Joblin, R. Barclay, H. Pearce, E. Kennerley. M. Price, P. Lagan C. Brown, W. Wilson, J. Daley, J. Hathaway, L. Stevenson. C. Thomas. B. Tosswill. and W. Bodger. Mrs A. M. Ward and Mrs R. C. Robinson were hostesses at a "pantry gift party given in honour of Miss Edna Wedlake, whose marriage will take place this week. Dancing, songs, and games were enjoyed, and manv useful gifts were received by the guest of honour. Among those present -were Mr and Mrs W. Wedlake, Mr and Mrs A. V. Empson, Mesdames R. Robinson; W.
