DUTIES OF SCHOOL TEACHERS
TO THE EDITOR 07 TUB PRESS. Sir,—l should be grateful if a member of the Canterbury Education Board could give me information about the following: (1) Has a school teacher any control over the children after school hours? (2) If a parent is perfectly satisfied with his child's conduct after school hours, can the child be punished at school because the teacher disapproves
Canterbury Education Board will answer my questions.—Yours, etc., ANXIOUS TO KNOW. February 27, 1935. [Mr L. E. Rowley, secretary of the Canterbury Education Board, when this letter was referred to him, stated that the board would prefer not to answer questions put by an anonymous correspondent. If, however, the correspondent would write a signed letter to the board, it would be only too pleased to deal with any complaints against the conduct of teachers.]
