MEETING OF PROGRESS LEAGUE PROVISION OF PERMANENT AERODROME (SPICIAL TO THE PHSSS.) NELSON, February.2B.. The acquiring of a permanent aero, drome for Nelson, proposals for.which are now under consideration by the Government departments, was dis. cussed at a meeting of the Progress League, and it was resolved that, under no conditions would the league be i satisfied with less than an A grade airport, whichever of the proposed sites was selected. Members considered that the development of air travel ia the near future would necessitate an A class aerodrome. It was decided that the president (Mr F. I. Ledger) join the Canterbury Progress League party in their: inspection visit to the Lewis Pass on Sat. urday next. Rowing The following crews have been* lected to represent Nelson at the Westport Club's regatta at Easter.Gothard Cup, J. Jarvis (stroke)j-G. P. Russell, S. Pushman, G. Russell; Harley Cup, J. Allen (stroke), Gillespie, J. Harper, W. Lamb; Jones Cup, McKenzie (stroke). Large, A. Forster; 35. Parker. Bowls ; In the final of the junior champion, ship of the Nelson Bowling Club N. Rout beat J. Fitzgerald. Cyclist Injured As a result of a collision between V a bicycle and a car in Waimea street, M*' Roy Evans was admitted to the Ne(. son Hospital suffering from head injuries. J. L. Kiddie was driving a car turning into a service station when Evans collided with the rear mudguard and somersaulted into the;rear door, breaking the glass window. Evans was reported to be making good progress at the hospital to-day... Collision A collision took place at Harakeke between cars driven by Mr H. Cowman and Nurse Taine. Mr Colbnatfs car was struck on the side and ; turned over, but fortunately neither, "the driver nor two other occupants suffered serious injury, though the'cat was considerably damaged.
