PREMIER THEATRE
♦ "THE SILENCE OF DEAN MAITLAND" Never before in the history of motion picture production has the press bestowed such lavish praise as that with which it greeted Cinesound's "The Silence of Dean Maitland." which comes to the Premier Theatre, New Brighton, to-night, for a special four-night season. The cast is headed by John Longdon and Joclyn Howarth, and the story is of the dramatic life of a man of the church—a man with a man's strength and a man's weakness . . fighting against the spell of beauty .. conscience condemning his desire. If his sin was vile, his punishment was heavy—"Some Men Suffer in their Children." If his silence condemned an innocent man to prison, he en atone. Courageously he rises in his pulpit, and reverberating over the heads of his vast cathedral congregation, an anguished voice cries "I Am That Man." Revelation follows revelation. "The Silence of Dean Maitland" is broken. Truly a dramatic thunderbolt. Box plans for all sessions are now open at Hudson's, Chemist, or telephone theatre, 37-447.
