Is there an international market for city sites? Such a market is believed by Sydney aldermen to exist for prominent sites in Sydney, such as will be available in the "Martin Place residues"—that is, in the land which the City Council bought for Martin Place extension and which it does not actually require for street purposes. The council is considering "the advisability of advertising these sites in the United States and Britain, as many of the aldermen believe that buyers from both countries would be interested in the sites, which will have most commanding positions in the main thoroughfare in Sydney."
