. UNION ROWING CLUB. ■ During the past week the Union Rowing Club has been rowing off' the Gee Cup racn, a single sculls handicap event, for a trophy presented by Mr Thomas Gee. The race was rowed over a quarter of a mile course and some good form was shown by the competitors. The following were the results: G. Empson (4sec) beat G. Butler (6sec). C. Piper (Bsec) beat R. Saxby (6Becl. L. Hampton (6sec) beat W. Rhind (Bsec). G. Toner (scr) won from R. Dale by default.. W. Greenway (3sec.) beat J. Seelen (6sec). C. Cooper (t>cr) beat J. Cusack by default. G. Empson (4«ec) beat C. Piper. (Bsec). W. Greenway (3sec) beat G. Toner (scr). C. Cooper (scr) beat L. Hampton (6see). C. Cooper (scr) beat W. Greenway (3sec). Final: C. Cooper (scr) beat G. Empson (4sec) by a foot, after a good race.
