HEATHCOTE NEWS.
METHODIST CHURCH. The congregation and adherents of the Methodist Church met in the schoolroom recently to elect church officers and discuss general church business. The Rev. Arthur T. Kent was in the chair. The following were elected officers for the year.* —Society stewards, Messrs Burnell, Stevens, Westbrooke, and McDowell; junior stewards, Messrs Fred Woods and Ean Cobuni; sacr.'inicntal stewards, Mrs R. Stevens ami Miss Edna King; oiphanage representative, Mrs Harvev ; members' representative, Mrs Emmett.
. . Sunday School Picnic. The scholars and supporters of the Methodist" Sunday School held their annual picnic at Pleasant Point on Saturday. A committeo comprising the Rev. A. T. Kent, Mr Burnell, and Mrs -Emmett, we're in charge of the arrangements, and were responsible for a very enjoyable, outing, about 1-0 attending.
