RACE FOR MEN OVER FIFTY. TEN STARTERS AT RANGIORA, There were ten starters in an "old timers' **■ cycle,road race held at Rangiora on Saturday afternoon. The race was oyer an eightmile course, and was open 'to men of .fifty years and over. Mr E. Palmer, aged 65, was the oldest competitor. He was given .Ijmin from the scratch men, G. Clung and. B. Hughey. The results were:— W. Palmer (lmin), 26min 56sec ... 1 B. Hughey (scr), 26min 37sec .. 2 (i. Ching (scr), 26min 46see . \ ••• 8 T. Quinn (2min), 29min 18sec .... 4 1 B. Hughey gained fastest time.
