RACES AT REDCLIFFS. There were small entries- and an unusual 1-Umb.er of stoppages owing to. engine trouhle in the Canterbury Outboard Motor Boat Club's B, C, and D class championships, at Kedcliffs on Saturday afternoon. The B Class boat Biki, as well as winning the B Class championship with ease, showed in subsequent competition very little inferiority compared with the C and D. At the end of the second lap Kiki turned beautifully to gain 20 yards on Seahorse, which then stopped. Stubs in the meantime had recovered a lot of lost ground, but Kiki was "by no means extended to win by about five yards. Time, nmin SOsec. \ Second Heat—The boats went away to a good start but. Seahorse stopped again. Stubs' engine also did not appear to be running well, and the race developed into .a farce, Riki, circling round to enable Stubs to catch up. Eiki won comfortably. The third beat was not held C CLASS CHAMPIONSHIP. Eiki was a starter, in this class in order to make up the required number of boats. The two others were Demon A' (T. Moore) and I Wonda (C. Preece).
