CONGREGATIONAL CHURCH.
- » ANNUAL ASSEMBLY. (FBXfS ASSOCUTIOS TMLEOBIU.) WELLINGTON, March 10. The Congregational Assembly met this morning for the first business session. Tho Rev. Harry Johnson presented the secretary's report, which was very optimistio in tone and well received. The district reports were also presented. In. his report, Mr Johnson commented on the, comparative success of the year in a time of depression, undoubtedly the weaker Churches had lost ground through the economic disturbances, but in the main, the situation could be viewed with hope and satisfaction. Something approaching a breeze arose over a suggestion that all ministers were sound in the essentials of the old faith. It was felt that no standard of judgment coqld easily be applied, and it was agreed that the passage be deleted.
