EXAMINATION SUCCESSES. (raoit OUB OWN CORRESPOND!!rr.) LONDON, February 2. At a meeting of the Royal College of Physicians on January 28th, the president, Lord Dawson of Penn, in the chair, the nomination of Sir Jolm Rose Bradford as a member of the executive committee of the Imperial Caucer Research Fund, was approved, and Dr. H. Charles Caiperon was appointed the College representative on the .Child Guidance Council. A number of candidates, having satisfied the Censor's Board, were admitted Members of the College. One was A. D. S. Whyte, M.C., M.8.N.Z., (Hastings), who, since arriving in London with Mrs Whyte, hag been gaining very valuable experience at London Hospital, and at St. Bartholomew's. On the same occasion, tho Diploma in Laryngology and Otology was granted, jointly with the lloyal College of Surgeons, to Dr. N. D. Matson, I/.R.C.P., M.R.C.S., Ear and Throat Hospital, Birmingham. Dr. Mateon belongs to Christchurch and Dunedin. Dr. D. M. Mitchell (Hunterville and Waoganui), who gained the degree of F.R.0.5., Eng., lately, intends going to tho Continent and to America lor further experience prior to returning home. The Misses L. and O. Exley (Hamilton), are gaining farther nursing experience in London. Miss Joan Pacey (Palmerston North) has decided to take a massage course at London Hospital. Dr. Kenneth Pacev (Palmerston North) thinks of remaining for about two years, doing post-graduate work l» his profession. . Having passed examinations at Westminster Hospital in medical electricity and massage, Miss Cora Bayley (Gisborne) is working at the Taunton and Somerset Hospital. Having accepted the position of headmistress of Selwyn House School, Ohrißtchurch, Miss Carol West-Watson (daughter of the Bishop. of Chnsl> church) will leave England m July, and enter upon her new duties in mida£Ur. £ inis her course at the School of Economics most interesting, and she hopes to take a post-graduate in International Relations at the end ot the University year. She spent the Christmas vacation chiefly in reading in the Library of Chatham House, the headquarters in St. James's square oi the Royal Institute of International Affairs, of which she is a member. Mrs ' Fifcaroy (Christchurch) has _a "Helen," -the latest C. B. Cochrane show at the Adelphi. It has had a triumphant beginning and the management has completed a deal with thn -theatrical ticket agencies amouut- £ to usfc on £IOO,OOO— a sunr stated to be a record for an original theatre "library" deal in this country. Oxon. (N.Z, Rhodes Scholar, 1928), is living in London and working as pupil to a busy barrister in The Temple. He expects to reronm at least for the currency of the. three years' Ijaw Scholarship, which lie won in 1031. Having completed his Bar Final last month, he • was "called" to the -Bar of the Jnner Temple a few days late^
