The Ministry of Agriculture has prohibited the importation of fresh fruits from a number of countries, including New Zealand and Australia, following the introduction of the San Jose louse in cases from the United States. . ' BRITISH TRADERS NOT PERTURBED. LONDON, March 9. The fruit traders are not greatly perturbed over the French prohibition of imports, as tho quantities shipped to Franco hitherto have been small, eohsisting mostly of the best quality New Zealand apples, and eome Australian and New Zealand pears.
