■ ♦ . CHRISTCHURCH CLUB. The necessity for more intensive training was stressed. at the annual meeting of the Ohristchurch Harriers' Club, wbicn was held last night. The chairman (Mr G. G Lockwood) stated that members were to' blame tor not devoting more attention to trainmg. Ho also urged the club t>> ilo everything possible to obtain junior members. The annual reprt, a summary of which adopted 6 P ublished »n "The Press," was The balance-sheet showed an excess nf assets ovef liabilities of £44 18s lOd. Sayers. In connexion with the All Nations Fair to bo held next month, the club favoured a steeplechase on the. ground, arrangements being loft to the Harriers' sub-committee of the Canterbury Centre.
It was dceided to hold on opening run in conjunction with other clubs on April 9th. A motion was carried that the incoming committee be recommended to provide open handicap racing.
