+ . FUNDS ALLOCATED. The final meeting of the South New Brighton Gala Committee was lield in the Bridge Street Hall on "Wednesday, Mr J. Orsborn presiding. • The balance-sheet showed a net pro- | fit of £47 12s 9d on the gala, which ' was held in the Pleasant Point Reserve on' New Year's Day find on the foreshore at Central Brighton on the following day. The gala was run by the New Brighton Band, the South Brighton Suyf Club, and the South Brighton Progress League in conjunction, and the proceeds were divided as follows: —New Brighton Band, £23 16s South Brighton Surf Club, £l7 17s South Brighton Progress League, £5 19s Id. Votes of thanks were passed to Mr W. Hiilme, the organiser, and to the | various members of the committees who had helped to secure the success of the effort.
