STYX GUN CLUB.
ANNUAL MEETING. The annual meeting o£ the Styx Gun Club was held on Wednesday evening in the j Papanui Memorial Hall, Mr Frank Sisson I presiding over a fair attendance. Tho annual report stated that seven meetings had been held during the year, and the membership stood at 50. The meetings had not altogether proved financial 'successes, partly through tad weather and to a large extent through the prevailing depression. It was proposed to make certain economies during tho coming year, J The balance-sheet showed a loss on the year of £lB, but there was a balance of assets over liabilities of £33 lis sd. The winner of the aggregate for the year was Mr F. Truscott, who was also the winner of tho sparrow championship. The winner of tho triangle shoot was Mr A. E. Brighiling, and of the clay championship Mr J. Simpson. Tho election of officers resulted:—Patron, Mr K. W. Hawke, M.f.; president, Mr Frank Siscon; vice-presidents, Messrs F. Ives, C. G. Derrett, T. Scalmer, W. P Sponcer, R. Rickerby, T. Aspell, E. J. Sisson, F<. A. Sisson, J. Munro, and H. Barrett: handi'cappors arid referees, Messrs G. X. Ormandy and AV. Ileid: auditor, Mr G. X. Ormandy: committee, Messrs F. Sisson, B. Sisson, B. Greer, J. Greer, F. Ives, T. Blumsky A. Taylor, J. Pepper, A. Hedges. J Tuliett, M. Higham, J. Munro, \V. Reid, J Carrington, and "W. Burney; secretary. Mr TV. H. Burney; treasurer, Mr J. A. Pepper: trustees, Messrs F. Sisson and J. A. *A P motion of sympathy was passed to Mi B, Rickerby in his illness. Jt was decided to as.* who Centre to leserve the same dates as last year, with certain reservations. Messrs F. Sisson, J A. Peuoer and M. Higham were appointed to meet the Centre in regard to the matter.
