DARTMOOR MUTINY

CONVICTS PARADED. THIRTY-TWO CHARGED. (BBlTien OFFICIAL WIBJtLESS.) (Received March 9th, 5.5 p.m.) RUGBY, March 8. Thirty-two Dartmoor convicts to-day paraded under a strong guard before tlio superintendent, Mr Smith, and were formally charged with offences arising out of the mutiny on January 25th, under the Malicious Damage Act. Some of the charges were collective; others ■were individual. There will be a formal hearing to-morrow before a Magistrate at the prison, when they will be remanded to appear on March 16th at the Town Ilall in Princetown, where the convicts are constructing a large dock to accommodate the accused men, consisting of a strong guard and chairs and benches bolted to the floor, as a precaution against a possible outbreak of violonce. The accused men are still in solitary confinement except for daily exercise.
