Minnie Grace Sexton, charged with selling milk containing added water, wps fined £2 and costs. It was pointed out that the small amount of affected milk sold would not have the defendant to any extent. LEVY DEFAULTERS. James Joseph Barry was fined 10s and costs on each of two charges of failing, to pay the unemployment levy, and was convicted and discharged on three similar charges. Similarly charged, John Henry Darby was tinea 10s and costs on two charges and was convicted and discharged on the remaining three. Charles Hibbert Steel was convicted ana discharged on two charges. Afosley. S.M.) LICENSING BREACH. George i'. Hodgson, licensee of the KaiKanm Hotel, charged with allowing liquor to be supplied to a person apparently under -31 years of age, was convicted and fined 20s and costs 10s. TRAFFIC CASES.

On charges of speeding on the Jlain Xorth road, J Matson, D. M. Murray, and J. \V. Burkenshaw were each lined £2 and costs. •Dor cycling at nisht without a light, M. Bichards was fined ss. On a charge of riding an unregistered motor-cycle, H. Baynon was fined £1 and costs. \V. Miller, on charges of driving a motortruck and overtaking and attempting to pass a motor-car on an intersection, with driving at a speed which was or might have been dangerous to the public on the Main North road, nnd with failing to stop wheu requested to do so by the traffic inspector, was on the first, charge convicted and fined —1 and costs £1 17s; on the second he was convicted and fined £-1 and costs £2 12s, and his license was suspended for 28 days; and on the third charge he was convicted and fined £1 and costs 10s. J Baker, £2 19s 2d; M. Ramsay v. 1.. Giles, £4 4s; E. M. Howard v. S. D. 'Wilson, £3 9s 7d. JUDGMENT SUMMONS. 0. Gray was ordered to pay A. IT. Healey the sum of £lO 14s forthwith, in default 16 days' imprisonment, the warrant to he suspended so long as defendant pays 10s per week.
