HEATHCOTE NEWS.
HARDEST FESTIVAL 1 SERVICES. The annual harvest thanksgiving serViccs of the Methodist , Church -were held on Sunday,-the preachers for the day being Mr Coomber (morning) and the Eev. Arthur T. Kent in the evening. Good congregations attended both services, and the choir sang special harvest songs. The harvest thanksgiving services ■were also conducted- at the St, Mary's Anglican . Church, the preachers being the Rev. IV A. Tooley and Mr Allard. Obituary. The death occurred on Thursday last of Mr J. Bunney, who had been a resident of Heathcote for some ;years. He made many friends,; and he will • be missed by "all those who' came in contact with him. ■ , ; The funeral toolc place at the Lyttelton cemetery on Saturday afternoon, and was largely attended The service at the graveside was conducted by the Eev. Mr Hanna. Personal. Mr and Mrs H. C'oombes and family have left for -Banfurly, where • Mr Coombes has been * appointed station--master. Mrs J.H.
