FINANCIAL POSITION. DROP ON LAST YEAR'S REVENUE. For the four weeks ended January 3rd, 1932, the Christcliurch trams, including trackless trams, showed a financial surplus of £296, which is £2BBB less than for the same period last year, according to; a report by .the Works and Traffic Committee presented to yesterday's Board meeting. i\>r .the four weeks. ended January 31st, ,1932,' tlio surplus was £205, as against a surplus of £2071 last year. On buses-there was a surplus of £43 for the four weeks ended January 3rd this year, and a deficiency of £29 for, the four weeks ended January 31st, 1932. The Board pays subsidies of £92 per month to services which are run by private operators but in the tramway interests.
