PAPANUI CLUB.

THE ANNUAL MEETING. The fourth annual mteting of the Papanui Rugby Football Club was held in the Papanui Memorial Hall last evening, Mr J. Fantham presided. The annual report stated that although tlie past year had been a difficult one, the club was in a sound position. Two teams had been entered. The second grade team had met -with a fair moasure of success. The liftlt grade team were to be congratulated on their splendid performance, being the runncrsup in their section. The club membership Kid steadily grown and now reached 103. During the year trophies were won as follows: The medal presented by Mr T. Scalmer fo.- best forward in second grade team was awarded to 11. Tullett. Trophy presented by ths club for most improved player in fifth grade team was won by Cliff Fantham. ' Trophy presented by Mrs Reid for best back in fifth grade team went to G. Hadley. Tho balunce-bheet disclosed a credit of JS24 Is lid. The fifteenth annual meeting oL the Chiistihurch Technical College Itugby Football Club was held last evening, Mr C. J. Goldstone presiding over au attendance of about it jty members. At the commencement of the meeting, tbe pesident referred lo the death of a keen member, Mr F. Horneman, as a result of an accident. A motion of sympathy with lcla- [ tives was carried. Hepurt and Balance-sheet. The annual report stated that the club had experienced another successful year. Four grades had been won, whilst tho club had again been successful in securing the I'c/lpath Shield for most points scored in grades under Senior B. The performance of the club in securing fourth place in the Evans Shield contest was a good one, particularly as it had no Senior A or .Senior B team. Jt was also noteworthy that the club had won more games than any other club in tbe Canterbury Rugby Union, competitions, whilst the nine teams representing it had between them scored a total of 172G points and had only 915 registered against them. Training had been much better organised than in previous seasons, and tbe support of the members had been icslly good, and the results were apparent ic the standard of the play of the various teams. The balance-sheet showed a credit balance of £il 17s lid, and a loss of £l2 10s 2d on the year's working, this loss being almost entiiely due to a large outstanding account fiont the previous season. March 19th, subject to the pround at Ector's road being available on that date. . SYDENHAM CLUB. FIFTIETH ANNUAL MEETING. The fiftieth annual general meeting of the Sydenham Football Club was hold in the club's hall,' Lawzon street, last Evening, the president, Mr "W. A. Britten, being in the chair.' A letter was received from the ,Kew Zealund Rugby League with regard to the forth- I coming tour of tho English team, stating that it would probably play in Christchurch. Tjjfi League was asked to make arrangements iu connexion with tl.e grounds. It was decided to aßsist in the All Nutione Fair. Mr A. Drury was elected delegate.
