LAWN TENNIS.
CANTERBURY ASSOCIATION. A meeting of the Competitions Committee of the Canterbury Lawn Tennis Association took place last evening. It was decided that the senior inter-club competition be terminated, and that. Canterbury College be declared the winners.It was agreed that both the championship and handicap events iii connexion with tJie inter-club tournament be commenced ne^t Saturday; the championship events to be played on the grass and the handicap events on the hard courts. ' . If waß decided that entries for the winter inter-club competition, in two* grades, close after Easter, the first rounds to be played on the first Saturday in May. The question of holdings the annua! combined tennis clubs' dance was discussed, the members of the conimittee being of the opinion, in view of the present economic position. that the dance be not held this year.
