Three short plays were read, "Philanthropy," "Philosophy of Butter-big-gins," and "Dropping the Baby." Bowling. The annual report to be presented at the third annual general meeting of the Redcliffs Ladies' Hockey' Club on Monday wesk states that the club haa very successful season. The opening day was held at Linwood Park on April 18th, and was well attended. There are at present 26 playing members and two honorary members. Two teams were entered in the competition, one Junior A and the other Junior B. .The A team made a very creditable showing and finished second equal, playing 14 games and winning 10, drawing one and losing three. The goals scored " c ' o 42 J" and 13 against. The Junior B team played 1G matches, six being won, two drawn, and eight lost. Three teams, were entered in the six-a-sido tonrnament held on the King's Birthday, and after the conclusion of the competitions friendly games were arranged a* far afield as Hanmer Springs.
