COURT OF DIRECTORS MEETS.

The Court .of Directors of -the Boyal Humane Society of New Zealand met yesterday afternoon, Mr G. D. Morris t ■ presiding. Others present were Messrs W. H. Nicholson, A. W. Owles, T. L Cowlishaw, and W. H. Cheeseman. . A letter was received from- the GovLord Bledisloe, accepting the position of patron of the Society in New Zealand. . . The statement of receipts and payments showed a credit balance in the bank of £SO 9s 7d. The Stead Trust Gold Medal Fund; showed a credit balance in the bank of £3 9s Set, and in the Post Office Savings Bank of £2ll 2s sd. / " Mr Nicholson was appointed a member of the Applications Sub-committee. It was announced that Mr Herbert Farrant, of Invercargfll, had been appointed the Society's agent hi that city, in succession to Mr CL Cruickshank, &M,, resigned.
