HORTICULTURAL SHOW.

OJtARI. The fourth annual show of the Orari Horticultural Society was held in the Orari Hall on Thursday afternopn and evening. Owing largely to the dry" spell of* weather, the entries were not so large as last year. The standard of • exhibits was very good, and in one or two cases drew forth praise from the judges. The prize for the best bloom in the show was by Mr G.. Coombs with .a beautiful gladiolus spike. During'tho evening session it was announced that Miss G. South (Winchester) had won the single women's competition, and Miss A. Wilson (Hastings) was second. A gift auction in the evening was conducted by Mr L. Wood (Timaru). Results: — POT PLANTS.
