COUNTY COUNCIL ELECTIONS.
CAMPAIGNS IN BRITAIN COMMENCED. I (BBITISH OPriCIAL WIBELES3.) (Received March Ist, 5.5 p.m.) RUGBY, February 27. In the first few days of March the County Council elections will b© held all over the country and campaigns are in progress. On Thursday next the elections will be held by the London County Council, which governs the administration of the County of London, with an area of 117 square miles and budgets for over £30,000,000 .per annum. Sixty-one divisions will return 124 members, for i which 279 candidates have been nominated, of whom twelve have been returned' unopposed.
