Similar advantages are 'avail-, able to any German student who wishes to study in New Zealand. This important system o! exchange has bjeert decided, upon and undertaken by - the , German Academic Exchange in pbrijunction with the New Zealand University.'' The proposal waa first brought- before' the Board of Governors of Canterbury College at a meeting toward the- end of last year. The College Committee of tho Board- then reported th&t the advantages of such a system of exchange were fully recognised; and, ; in' reply .to a letter from Dr. Klaus Mehnert, of the German Academic Exchange service, the Board expressed willingness to reciprocate in the scheme, and recommended that it should be adopted ■ < * The following letter has now bteen received from Dr. Mehnert: — ■ "I acknowledge the receipt of your kind letton of August 19t£' with, Regard to the of graduated'students between New Zealand and Germany. *'l
