CRYSTAL PALACE.
"WHITE PELL OF PITZ PALU"
' One' of the most amazing pictures aver made is "Tho White Hell, of Pitz Palu," filmed in tho high Alps of Switzerland, which will open to-moriow at the Crystal Palace. It'tells'a gripping story of three human beings at the meroy of avalanchea and elides in the mountains, and how they wero rescued through the daring of an aviator. Tho pic* ture was created- by Or. Arnold Fanck, famous director and alpinist, and has Leni Biefenstahl, Gustnv Diesel, Ernst Petersen, And B. Spring, the well-known European actors, in the cast. Unmatohed for thrills—ecenically and emotionally—it dapiots very vividly the terrible plight of humans pitted against the gigantio and enddenly-forming forces of Naturo amid a background of usurpassed grandeur. Aitei the surfeit of backstage stories, murder mysteries, and musical comedies, it should, provide a real stimulant for jaded appetities. ''White Hell of Pits, Palu'' is a migihty mountain of-snowy whiteness, whose chining peaks piercer the sky, luring lovers on to the top of its sunlit, glistening pinnacles, Likfl an lcr-hearted vampire; whoso gleam' ing whits bosom loads men to danger and to death, its smooth, glassy walls collapse suddenly, and terrifying snowslides sweep to eternity the souls it has tempted to happiness.-
