VESSEL'S MIRACULOUS ESCAPE.

A wireless message from the Discovery, which is carrying . Sir Douglas Maweem's expedition, states that the vessel, when passing the mountajnons coastline of Maoßobertson Ldnd, m which high-peaked'ranges .trend in a south-westerly direction, found that the floor of the neighbouring seas wis extraordinarily uneven, shoaling froin great depths to dangerous submerged reefs,-requiring cautious navigation. A number ol islets appeared, and, with » gale blowing. Captain, MmKoazio decided, on February 14th. to head for tho open sea. The vessel sailed through snow and darkness unti daylight disclosed that th<j, Bh lp had miraculously traversed a course in which there w«yo many grounded bergs, and had pained the lee. of these forty miles north of the land, '--The vessel is now awaiting the gale to :abate. • .*■
