February 24, The body of Dame Nellie Melba, upon arrival at Melbourne to-morrow, will be conveyed to Scots Church, where it will lie in State for one night. This is the church in which she sang as a girl in the choir. Her father, who built it, was a member of the choir, for fifty years. The interment win be at Lilydale, Melba, some time ago expressed a wish -that 7 her body might, be conveyed to the village cemetery on a farmer's cart,, and it is possible that the wish wjftl be carried out. Mr John Lemmone, who is suffering from bronchitis,' is at Sydney, and will not attend the f unferal. -He remains here for medical attention.. The Premier of' Victoria, Mr Hogan, announced that' there will State funeral. *. The Governor of New South Watys, Sir Philip Game, has A Sable message from their Majesties, the King and Queen, saying , that they J wqre deeply grieved to leafn that Melba Tiad passed away.
