COURT THISTLE OF THE FOREST, A.O.F. . The ordinary meeting ,of Ihid. Court was held, last week,- Bro. McGeorge, 0.R., presiding. Matters of interest, to the Order were discussed. On 6 candidate was initiated into tiia Oyler. Ayrey, 'presided over a good attendance jof members. • -Sick pay amounting to £BS lis 8d was passed for .payment, also £414 ,8s 6d for accounts. Expenditure amounted to £SOO 0s 2d. P.G. Bro. Sharp wan -elected as a trustee. The* Benevolent Committee recommended that the' sum of SB he granted to a brother in distress, and also that he be keßt upon the hooks until further notice; also a brother affected by the Hawke's Bay earthquake, and jreeomtnended that he be kept upon the books.": The recommendations were carried. • The following were elected as Lodge deleKaWa for the 1 annual,*district' "conference:—. The' .annual meeting of the• Friendly Societies' Council was hfld in the Trades 'Hall on Saturday evening, Bro. W. B. Browne presiding over a fair attendance of •delegates.-. He referred "to'the serious illness of P.O.P. Bro. - <T. Btirgess, UVA.O.D., r and the secretary'.was'instructed to. convey to Jum the sincere sympathy of the Council.
